I take your points Rich but we have to forget about Clear and Obvious. It was a lie on the level with World Class Stadium with World Class Transport Links. Both got the result they wanted.
As for Palace's goal it took over 5 minutes from them scoring to us kicking off again. I timed it because im convinced that, along with VAR's other flaws, that the time taken to review isn't added on at the end.

I'm still waiting for an offside to be given, proven to be incorrect, that stops a clear goal being scored. What will happen then?
ornchurch, in our home game against Palace Yarmolenko was put through in a great position and was flagged offside and Palace got a free kick. Replays later showed he was well onside but the passage of play was not allowed to continue so we will never know if it would have ended up in a goal, odds on though in the position we were in it would have ended up an opportunity to score.
In contrast Palace score a goal which was flagged offside then it took var 2.5 mins to look at it multiple times to come to the conclusion that he was onside by a toe nail.
I like Nobles idea that there should be a time limit put on the decision. If it takes over 2mins, or even over 1 min, to come to a decision then its not clear and obvious.

skip to about 1:20 to see Burnley's disallowed goal, surely Evan's should be banned for diving for that!

If you give a penalty everytime someone has their foot accidently trod on there is going to be a lot of pens in a game.

ornchurch ammer is right. If you take it down to the nth degree, then in the eyes of the law it is an accidental foul.
You can thank VAR, which is a load of old shit, for taking it down to the nth degree.

Yes. Accept it. Accept that it was a lie told to get something I done in much the same way we were lied to over the stadium move. Accepting VAR itself is a different thing.
Same as a penalty being given for an accidental foul. Most penalties are accidental fouls, especially handball. Not all defenders mean to scythe down a forward in the box.
Did Rice mean to handball it against Palace or was it accidental?

''Got to start accepting that Clear and Obvious was just a phrase used to sell it to get it put in place and nothing more''
Accept it? Do me a favour. What we DO need to accept is this is an absolute fucking abortion of an idea and it needs to go.

Wasn't a [en in a million years, he accidently trod on his foot, it's a contact sport. Even an ex ref on a show I watched said it wasn't a pen, and it wasn't a clear and obvious error, so why did var even look at it?

It could be argued that any penalty decision not awarded or offside that is missed is a clear and obvious mistake as it could affect the result.
I'm still waiting for an offside to be given, proven to be incorrect, that stops a clear goal being scored. What will happen then? If VAR is used then don't flag for any offsides. Let play go on and VAR decide.

Why did Everton get fucked over? VAR showed that Keane stood on his foot. He might not have meant to but do the rules say that accidental fouls don't count?
Agree that nothing wrong with Arsenals 3rd goal though. Nice dive by the defender as any contact was not proportionate with the way he took off. Palace do a lot of diving but get away with it as people think that Woy is a doddery old cunt.

It reached a new low this weekend. Incredibly it actually overturned correct decisions made at the time by the ref. That aside, they shouldn't have been overturned anyway as VAR is only meant to look at clear and obvious mistakes by the ref. It's utter horseshit.

Just destroying the great game piece by piece right in front of our eyes every week But if they had to run it why didn't they let ex football players run it who have played the game and understand it fully I would even prefer Jason bloody Cundy up in the VAR box then any referee from today's line up.

The problem is the same cunts who have been getting it wrong for years are the ones looking at the VAR. The technology's fine but you could theoretically get Anthony Taylor reffing and Mike Dean at Stockley park. No chance of a fair decision unless youre a northern top 4 team

It should be just down to the ref in the middle and the fourth official and the ref should look at the monitor at the side of the pitch if he's got a doubt about an incident.
